Hey, Terps! We have some exciting updates and opportunities coming your way at the Oral Communication Center, but first, a quick note about our schedule.

Fall Break Closure: The OCC will be closed for Fall Break on October 13–14.

During this time, there will be no appointments available, so be sure to plan ahead if you’d like feedback on a speech, class presentation, or any upcoming project. We can’t wait to support you again once we reopen on Wednesday, October 15th!

TerpThon Pitch Workshop

Date: Thursday, October 16

Time: 7:00–7:30 PM

Location: Reckord Armory

The OCC is partnering with TerpThon to host a Pitch Workshop designed to help members strengthen their communication and fundraising skills! Participants will engage in a 60-second pitch exercise and learn how to make their message clear, confident, and concise — perfect for tabling events and connecting with potential donors throughout the year.

Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or just starting to build your confidence, this is a great opportunity to polish your delivery, receive feedback from OCC consultants, and represent TerpThon with passion and purpose.
